As the Regional Web Developer, you will design, develop and maintain regional web pages, including local news, regional Radio & TV program support, and community outreach pages. This position is based in Montreal and supports cbc.ca/montreal. You will be working within a virtual team of web developers across the country and interacting with many of your peers mainly via email and phone, while interacting with many local stakeholders in-person. Fluency in English as well as a working knowledge of French is required.
You are highly technical but can communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds and technical knowledge. This position requires juggling multiple priorities and responding to several urgent demands in a short space of time. Interest in and knowledge of news and current affairs are essential, as is a familiarity with a radio and television broadcast environment. You must be comfortable working within a complex infrastructure which supports one of the largest web sites in Canada, using established site-wide standards and systems.
